Retailers Doubt Govt’s Smokefree Aspirations will succeed

Yesterday’s pronouncement from the Associate Minister of Health Hon Tariana Turia that the Government supports a Maori Affairs Select Committee recommendation to make tobacco illegal by 2025 clearly demonstrates the Nanny State is alive and well in New Zealand.

WELCOME

The Association of Community Retailers was established to keep our retailer members informed on issues and proposals that have an effect on their businesses. Our members are made up of the thousands of independent family-run retail outlets, such as dairies and convenience stores. The ACR is a self-funding organisation from members’ subscriptions and voluntary membership is open to all retailers, FMCG enterprises and individuals.
